Gem is a 5 year old, 15.3hh, appendix mare. She is green broke to the walk, trot, and canter and is started over poles. Solid build and a quiet, kick ride. Gem is brave over small obstacles and shows work ethic and hardiness. She has solid conformation with good legs and a strong, substantial build making her an ideal prospect for any working discipline. She is appropriately built and a suitable prospect as an english hunter type or school horse or as a western ranch horse with the athleticism and toughness for cows or gaming. Could also be made up as a pleasure horse.

Her current home is at a private, hobby farm without immediate access to experienced horse people which Gem requires at this time. She's not dirty but after having only 30 days training, it has been concluded that this mare requires a lot more training than the owners were prepared to handle physically or financially. So this mare is priced advantageously to just recoup their purchase price.

She has spent 45 days in our program and is doing well with training and would be a quick study to finish in any direction as a sales prospect or affordable partner for sport. She's great to hack, groom, bathe, ship, and handle.
