Dawson is a 16.3hh, 2017, unraced TB gelding by Society’s Chairman. Dawson is a lovely, quiet type with a big stride, willing attitude & bright future ahead of him! He is currently going WTC and jumping 2ft. He would make a great prospect for the 2’9/3ft ring. He is started on the lead change and course work and would be simple enough for a JR/AA to finish with a coach. Despite being young, Dawson always goes to the jump, keeps a beautiful steady rhythm around a course, and jumps out of stride well. Dawson went to his first show last year at the Caledon Silver Series where he championed the 2ft division in a large group of horses, winning a trip and pulling an impressive 2nd in the hack! He also campaigned the hack division where he pinned every time in large classes.

Despite his age, Dawson has been ridden out of a program by JRs as young as 11 years old and amateurs alike. He doesn’t require a strict schedule to remain quiet and rideable. He is sound barefoot, although wearing fronts currently to support his current full training schedule.

Dawson does everything a show horse should do- bathes, ties, clips, handles easily, and trailers well.
