PK Kellykeen Guilue is a 16.3hh, 2008, registered ISH, imported Selle Francais gelding by Guidam available for lease. Hank, as he's known around the barn, is an affectionate, well schooled gelding who is ready to get back to the show ring and lend over a decade of show experience to his next lucky rider.
Hank had a long career as an eventer in Ireland, running more than 40 events and competing up to 1.10m before being imported to Canada where he added to his resume on the A circuit as an amateur jumper up to the 1.15m in Canada and the US. He has schooled up to 1.50m.
Hank is kind, honest, and simple to ride. He has a large, powerful stride, but excellent rideability, power to collect and is a comfortable medium ride between push and wait. Hank has lovely flat work buttons, easy transitions, and an auto change with an ability to counter canter. He is the same horse every day and truly loves to work and please while remaining consistently responsive, responsible and safe. He loves spending time with people, whether it's grooming, riding, or hacking and has no vices, bad habits, or evasive behaviours, making him an ideal candidate for a JR or AA. Hank does not require prep or pro rides to stay rideable and simple. Hank will always go to the jump, forgive an imperfect ride or distance, and actively try to help his rider get to the base and jump successfully without getting strong or overbearing.
This summer, Hank returned to the show ring and took a 12 year old around the .6/.75 ring and pinned in every class. He was safe, required no prep, and gave a faultless performance across all 4 days of competition.
Hank requires maintenance to perform at his best. He is an excellent teacher for the low jumper divisions.
Hank does everything a show horse needs to do with no fuss or external aids. This special horse has been an absolute barn favourite since he's arrived and is a pleasure to have around and work with.
