A graduate of our sale program, River, is back! His owner has moved away for university and he would like to have a job!
River is a 2015, 15.2hh, TB hunter gelding available for sale or lease. For the past 2 years, River has been a family horse and mount for a teenager showing her the basics of jumping. In 2022, River competed up to the 2'6 hunters at the silver series with pins in large classes and a derby win at his very first one attempted. He is very brave to the jumps without riding hot and gets down the lines easily.
He is a simple, light ride on the flat with well established transitions and a bit of a motor. He jumps round and carefully every time. Still has green moments every once in a while, but is generally safe without disobedience and has no problem accommodating an imperfect ride.
He bathes, clips, trailers, ties, hacks quietly and does everything a show horse should do. He's a fairly easy keeper- lives out, no major soundness maintenance, and wears front shoes, although sound barefoot.
